We consider and support the pro-peace action, which will be held simultaneously with the participation of dozens of organizations from both sides of our country.
We find that the involvement and contribution of the peoples of the country in the struggle for peace is very important and we support this action.
At the meeting held yesterday, we found out that ” This Country is Ours Platform”, which undertook the organization of the northern side of the protest made decisions restricting the placards and chanting of slogans in addition to the banners and slogans that the platform will prepare.
It is undemocratic and unacceptable an approach that tries to prevent freedom of expression for organizations that claim to be democratic and progressive, trying to block the slogans that each organization will use in its own cortege.
This approach has been encountered in almost every action in recent years and similar prohibitions are tried to be imposed.
Against the lower administration in the north who want to prevent participation in tomorrow’s action, calling it “No ban, let’s go to the protest” and then trying to ban banners and slogans is to point to the left and hit the right!
As the Revolutionary Communist Union(DKB), we protest all the organizations that are members of the platform that approve such an anti-democratic restriction!
As the Revolutionary Communist Union, we will be on the streets tomorrow with our own slogans and banners in our own cortege!
Against the colonial occupation established in the north of our country, the structure dependent on imperialism in the south, foreign military bases located in many parts of our country, in short, against all the that divide our country and make our people enemies to one another; We are calling all our people to the street!
